Sixth Form Facilities
As a student at South Hunsley Sixth Form College you will benefit from the use of a wide range of excellent facilities across the South Hunsley site. We place importance on ensuring our facilities and resources are of a high standard as we believe this to be conducive to developing the right atmosphere for learning. We want the Sixth Form College to encourage you to take advantage of your increased freedoms and take responsibility for your own learning. We offer students the chance to enjoy all of the facilities and privileges of an adult community - indeed - being an adult is a keynote of our Sixth Form ethos.
The Sixth Form College is located within the modern and spacious Lifelong Learning Centre which is used exclusively by Sixth Form students. Students have use of a Sixth Form Café which is open throughout the day, serving snacks and hot meals. The Centre also houses an air conditioned IT centre open for independent learning from 8:30am-5:00pm and during school holidays in the lead up to exams as well as a Common Room where students can meet up and socialise.
BTEC students will also have access to resources at Bishop Burton College. In recent years, Bishop Burton College has invested heavily to create a modern, state of the art campus with exceptional facilities for vocational education courses.
As a South Hunsley Sixth Form student, you will also be entitled to discounted gym membership at South Hunsley Sports and many students make the most of all that the sports centre has to offer, from climbing clubs to dodgeball.
